The Leitz 12.5cm (125mm) f2.5 Hektor is a longer manual focus telephoto lens designed for the Leica M39 rangefinder system. The lens was built specifically to be used with the Visoflex reflex housing accessory. It fits naturally onto a Visoflex I or can be mounted on the Visoflex II/III using adapter 16466. This lens was made specifically for professional photographers working in tricky and dim lighting conditions from appreciable distances. Its fast f2.5 maximum aperture both allows for faster shutter speeds in lowlight as well as a bright image on the Visoflex focusing screen. It is also stellar as a portrait lens where the f2.5 aperture can render incredibly shallow depths of field.
This lens can only be used on a Visoflex accessory. It will NOT mount directly to an M39 camera.
